Bag of Hammers were formed in March 1994. In April 1995 Bag of Hammers split up. The day after the split, Davey rented a 4-track from a local music store. At first, he worked by himself for a few months until he formed Confusion Productions with friends Joe and Pete. Joe had a house in the neighborhood where everyone would party at dubbed "The Crack Shack."

A small studio was set up in the back room and in time, gear was upgraded from 4-track to ADAT, sound proofing and quality mics and processors.

Davey did practically all recording here from 1995 to 1997.

The Apathy EP was recording with Davey's Grandmas Casio Keyboard and a small Yamaha Drum machine.

Davey planned to release this EP on cassette in 1995 but decided not to release this project as with every song, the recording, writing and production got better. This project was scrapped to begin work on "The Brown Bag Theroy" EP.......

Some elements were used however. The verse of "Method to the madness" was used for "Get the fuck away from me" on the LSD album.
